Mark Green MD FAAEM
President and CEO
Mark has served as the CEO of Align MD since its founding in June, 2009. Mark led the company from one emergency department to emergency departments in five states, and expansion into hospitalist management. Before founding Align MD, Mark served as the Medical Director of several different emergency departments as well as a hospital vice chief of staff. From 2002 - 2006 Mark served as an army special operations emergency physician and flight surgeon, where he participated in some of Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom's most covert operations. Prior to army medicine, Mark served as an infantry officer and army ranger, commanding a company in the famed 82nd Airborne Division. In addition to his medical degree from Wright State University, Dr. Green has a quantitative management degree from West Point, and a master's certificate in information systems from the University of Southern California.
Rick Jansen, RN, MBA
Chief Operating Officer
Rick has served as the Chief Operating Officer of Align MD since October 2011. Rick started his career as a civilian accountant for the Department of Defense. He later transitioned into the healthcare field and has been an emergency department registered nurse for 18 years, and in an emergency department leadership role for the last 12 years. During his career Rick has managed numerous emergency departments at the hospital and corporate level. Most recently, from April 2010 to December 2011, Rick served as Director of Emergency Services for NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee where he led successful initiatives in patient satisfaction and patient throughput, while improving overall departmental efficiency. From April 2008 to April 2010 Rick served as a Corporate Director of Emergency Services for Community Health Systems (CHS) in Franklin, Tennessee where he was responsible for numerous emergency departments throughout the country. At Align MD Rick is responsible for business development and emergency department performance. He holds a black belt in six sigma and has led multiple LEAN projects focused on emergency department efficiency.
Rick has undergraduate degrees in both accounting and nursing, and holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Health Care Administration.
Tony Briningstool, MD FACEP
Chief Medical Officer
Tony joined the Align MD Team as the Chief Medical Officer in February 2012. He brings significant clinical experience and Executive Level leadership having previously served as the Executive Director for Emergency Services of a large Level 1 Trauma Center, with five emergency departments, an emergency medicine residency and a helicopter program. Tony is passionate about our vision and our commitment to create dynamic patient centered Emergency Departments that strives to provide the highest quality of care in a compassionate environment to every patient every time. He believes the success of any organization rests in the ability to integrate departments and to share a common focus on developing exceptional patient care arenas for patients to heal and providers to work. He equally enjoys leading physicians as much as he enjoys providing bedside emergency care. In addition, to his clinical expertise he also has a profound appreciation for what TEAMWORK can accomplish having played Division 1 College Football at Michigan State University where they won 3 out of 4 Bowl Games including the 1988 Rose Bowl. Tony is a Board certified Emergency Medicine Physician and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He attended Medical School at Georgetown University School of Medicine and also completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship after Residency.
Winfield H. Winegar II MA, HSM, MPAS, PAC
Executive Vice President
Win has served as the Executive Vice President of Align MD since December 2010. Win assisted in the early growth of the company and has been instrumental in its success. Before working at Align MD, Win served six years as the Deputy Medical Director for Trinity Hospital's Emergency Department as well as Houston and Stewart County TN, EMS. Win retired from the Army in 2004 as a senior leader and medical planner for the 101stAirborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY. In 2001 – 2003, he served as the Director of Emergency Medical Operations at Camp Doha, Kuwait supervising the Emergency Department as well as flying combat DUSTOFF missions for critically ill casualties. Win has a master's of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Nebraska, a bachelor's in Public Management from Austin Peay State University and a master's in Health Services Management from Webster University.
